African American Art & Culture Complex have been committed to empowering our youth, promoting the work of emerging local artists, and serving as a vital resource for residents and visitors alike.


Founded in 2011, American SCORES empowers students in urban communities using soccer, writing, creative expression, and service-learning. With teamwork as the unifying value, SCORES inspired youth to lead healthy lifestyles, be engaged students, and become agents of positive change in their communities.


Founded in 1891, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) serves over 1,100 youth and teens per day at nine neighborhood Clubhouses. Dedicated to helping kids from disadvantaged circumstances, BGCSF provides a broad range of programs to inspire young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.



Cellspace provides a safe and supportive public environment for the exploration of art, education, performance and community building. Through cooperative relationships and multidisciplinary programs, CELLspace encourages the celebration of inter-generational, cross-cultural collaborations and the promotion of social justice. CELLspace simultaneously serves two key populations in the Mission District: at-risk youth and artists.

Def ED provides youth with the educational curriculum that promotes hip hop values of acceptance, non-violence, creative self-expression, and physical fitness. We teach students to value art and education and help them to make a connection between creative self-expression and education that they wouldn't otherwise dream possible. We use the specific elements of hip hop, MCing, DJing, breaking, and street art, in schools, community centers, libraries, and live-in facilities.



Opportunity Impact provides the skills and support under served youth need to graduate high school and go to college. The program recruits youth facing obstacles in multiple areas of their life. Through an asset based approach, the five year program improves academic skills and personal skills while providing comprehensive case management support. By the time youth begin high school, they've received more than 5,000 hours of year-round activities and support.



The Thrive House for Youth is a beautiful, three-story Victorian home in the heart of San Francisco that offers a safe, supportive, and inspiring space for our partners, who are guided by positive youth development principles and practices, to mentor, counsel, and teach life skills to their children and youth. The creators of The Thrive House for Youth and its stakeholders are dedicated to providing young people with opportunities to develop their assets and THRIVE in a real home environment. Furthermore, this is a space where children of all racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds can come together to interact in a truly diverse community.



The YMCA of San Francisco builds strong kids, strong families, and strong communities by enriching the lives of all people in spirit, mind, and body.




Good For Kids' business partners have provide in-kind donations, including arts and sports merchandise. Thanks to our business partners, each GFK graduate is awarded a grab-bag of items that will support their continued activity in their art and sport of choice.

Our employees are local coaches, instructors, outdoor enthusiasts, teachers, students. We are all active in the community and in our sports and activities. We use the product we sell.
